You can use Bingify without creating an account. Account creation is only needed to sync across devices.
Usage Data
- Movies and TV shows you add to your watchlist
- Episodes marked as watched
- Your content preferences and discovery choices
- Watch status (Watching, Watched, Want to Watch, etc.)
Third-Party Connections (Optional)
- Trakt.tv account data (if you connect)
- Jellyfin server connection (if you connect)
- Plex account data (if you connect)
When you connect third-party services, we only access the data necessary to sync your watch history.
Automatically Collected
- Device type and operating system (for app compatibility)
- Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Bingify service
- Sync your watchlist and watch history across devices
- Show personalised recommendations based on your preferences
- Send notifications about new episodes (if enabled)
- Sync with third-party services you've connected
- Improve our app and fix bugs
3. Data Retention
Your data is retained until you choose to delete it:
- Without account: Data is stored locally on your device
- With account: Data is stored on our servers until you delete your account
When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share data with:
- TMDB: We fetch movie/TV data from The Movie Database API (no personal data is shared)
- Connected services: Trakt, Jellyfin, or Plex only receive data necessary for syncing (only if you connect them)
- Service providers: We use trusted services for hosting and infrastructure
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

We take security seriously:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Passwords are never stored (we use passwordless authentication)
